What's the beta-glucan percentage, and which species is it?
It's organic Cordyceps militaris fruiting body, standardized to 32% beta-glucans, at 1,000 mg per serving. That's a 10:1 water extract, equivalent to 10,000 mg of raw mushroom. Nothing else is in it apart from the pullulan capsule in the capsule version. 32% is the second-highest beta-glucan content in our range, behind Turkey Tail at 35%.
How many capsules, and when should I take them?
Take 2 capsules a day, any time of day, with or without food, so there's no wrong window. If you train, 30 to 60 minutes before a session is a sensible slot, but it's a preference rather than a rule. There's no caffeine in it, so a late dose won't keep you up. The 120-count bottle is 60 days at 2 a day, and nothing needs cycling off.
Is this Cordyceps militaris or sinensis, and does it matter?
Ours is Cordyceps militaris, and the species genuinely matters when you're comparing one cordyceps product to another. Wild Cordyceps sinensis is one of the most expensive fungi on earth and can't be farmed at any real scale, so when you see sinensis on a cheap label it's almost always mycelium grown on grain rather than the mushroom itself. C. militaris can actually be grown as a true fruiting body, which is what we extract. If a cordyceps product won't say which species and which part, it's usually grain.
Who is Cordyceps for?
Cordyceps is the energy and endurance one, so it suits people who train and anyone fighting an afternoon slump. It contains no caffeine, so it won't cost you sleep the way a late coffee would. If what you're after is focus or mental clarity, Lion's Mane is the better fit, and the Ultimate Mushroom Complex has both. When should I expect to feel something?
